I don’t think Ore Dake is a must watch, per se, but it is a very enjoyable show that I loved and think many will enjoy. You’re here to laugh and for waifus, and the art is more than good enough on that front. The art is really nice in the show, the fight animations were a bit on the meh side, but let’s be real. It’s actually quite funny, if you asked me to give you a story recap of the show, I honestly couldn’t. Week after week I was amazed at the ridiculousness of the antics and just had a blast with this show. This is the type of show that you shut your brain off for and sit back for some mindless fun. Every animeĭoesn’t need to reinvent the wheel to be great. There’s no real plot here other than rather shallow excuses for fan service-y interactions between the MC and the girls, but you know what? That’s ok, because they’re great and hilarious.

Ore Dake is aware that it’s an ecchi fantasy full of waifus and an OP MC, but it embraces it and brings everything together in a way that still allows you to enjoy it. One of my only gripes with an anime is when it takes itself too serious for what it is. It’s nice when a show knows it’s a meme and embraces it. Naturally, there is a catch-every time Noir attempts to use his powers, his life points decrease, putting his life at risk. Olivia bestows upon Noir a set of ridiculously powerful skills that grants him virtually total control over reality. There, Noir meets Olivia Servant, a beautiful yet enchained maiden trapped within the labyrinth. The Great Sage advises him to explore a hidden dungeon deep within the mountains. He knows he must become stronger to enter the institution.
